Lauren Alfonsi

In 2016 I graduated with a BA in Psychology from the University of Michigan. I am currently in a graduate program at Wayne State University working toward an MA in Counseling with a concentration in Art Therapy.
At the Indigo Doors, I teach a variety of painting classes and workshops for all ages. Helping individuals get in touch with and build confidence in their creativity is my goal, as well as having fun! As a future counselor/art therapist, I hope to help individuals use art in its many forms to express difficult emotions, deepen self-understanding, and achieve well-being that words alone cannot do. Painting and drawing have been very healing for me and I am excited to be able to share that with others!
